Beautiful antique pocket watch made by Hampden Watch Co. of Canton, Ohio, circa 1896–1897. This Model 3, 18-size timepiece features a classic hunter-style gold-filled case, a Roman numeral dial with sub-seconds, and a private-label engraving from Rogers & Dash, Troy, N.Y., a 19th-century jeweler.
The ornate floral-engraved case has a 20-year gold-filled warranty and opens smoothly. The movement is marked “Hampden Watch Co.” and retains its original components. The watch has not been tested and is being sold as-is, making it an excellent restoration project or display piece for collectors of vintage American pocket watches.
