Count Thun painting on porcelain serving plate decorated with an outstanding, hand-painted pastoral scene of two young women taking a break from the wheat harvest.
Beautifully painted in the French Realist style of the second half of the 19th Century.
Probably after a large scale painting, such as the subjects of German porcelain plaques made by KPM, Hutschenreuther and others.
The plate is marked on the underside with impressed initials TK for Thun Klosterle (Austria), various impressed numbers and green and red importer and retailer marks as shown.
In very good condition with light wear to gilt and minor imperfections as shown.
