I have not tested the CD player because there is no remote control. I did test that it powers on. It powers on A-OK. This is why this unit is sold as is. It powers up fine, doesn't make any weird noises or smells, and it was kept in a clean, smoke-free environment. As far as I know it's is in fine working condition, but I just can't be 100% because I have no remote. You'll need a universal remote that supports this system, or better yet, the Bose-brand remote, to make it work. I've seen the original Bose remote here on Mercari for ~10$. There is a small circular mark on the top panel, visible in the last 3 pictures.
Did I mention I dont have the remote? Because I don't have the remote, I did not test the CD player.
