Rare 1970s Citizen Challenge Golf, working condition.
CITIZEN Challenge Golf 26 Jewels
A model designed for golfers, featuring a golf score counter function.
Pressing the crown allows you to switch the score counter display ( -2 to +18 ) at the 12 o'clock position.
Approximate size:
40.5mm long, 38.3mm wide, 11.4mm thick
The dial is a gradient green, reminiscent of a golf course, with an illustration of a golf ball on a tee at the 6 o'clock position.
The black case is made of a lightweight, super-hard alloy with excellent shock resistance, and it was a model that showcased Citizen's technological prowess at the time, designed to withstand the impact of a golf shot.
It's an unusual watch with the crown at the 8 o'clock position for easy score registration during play.
In those days, golf was said to be "wrist-watching shots," and there were few lightweight, shock-resistant wristwatches, making this model a hot topic.
It's an automatic watch, so it will keep time as long as you wear it.
There are thin linear scratches on the glass surface, and the metal band has faded.
A copy of the instruction manual is also included.
I am selling this to organize my collection, but it is a product from about 50 years ago, so I would appreciate it if you would consider it with an understanding of vintage used items.
Thank you for looking.
