RARE LOT 1939 SIGNED Homer Rodeheaver Gospel Books Plantation Negro Spirituals

This is an opportunity to buy rare music history. These six song books were autographed by Homer Rodeheaver (October 4, 1880 – December 18, 1955) in 1939 (they are 85 years old!) - each is signed by Homer Rodeheaver!! They are personalized to his aunt and her niece. They appear to have been signed all at the same time. Overall, the condition of these books is excellent with no foxing.
The six signed books included are:

1) Negro Spirituals, arranged for mixed voices by Frederick Hall
2) Negro Spirituals, arranged for women’s voices by Frederick Hall
3) Negro Spirituals and Folk Songs, arranged for men’s voices by Frederick Hall
4) Rodeheaver’s Radio Songs (signed on the first inside page)
5) Rodeheaver’s Plantation Melodies
6) Rodeheaver’s Negro Spirituals

1910, Rodeheaver started his own publishing business, the Rodeheaver Company, compiling gospel songs to sell at revivals. In 1936 Rodeheaver purchased the Hall-Mack Company and merged it with his own publishing house.
