Gorgeous carved Victorian / Edwardian brooch.
The brooch is exquisitely carved, with amazing detail! It depicts a fox chasing a chicken, surrounded by delicately flowering vines. There is a tiny loss at the right end, but not significant, and doesn’t compromise the beauty of this rare piece.
The pin back is attached with tiny screws. This piece most likely dates to 1840-1880 (according to the previous owner due to the animals depicted- very en vogue at the time) It measures approximately 3 1/4" X 7/8".
