This is a vintage, one-of-a-kind still-life oil painting, created in South Korea in the early 1990s—back when mangos were expensive.
Unique painting features three mangos, painted in the realism style in real time since the painter did not own a camera. Over several days, the mangos gradually ripened—starting green, then yellow, then developing a red blush until they were fully red. The artist worked diligently each day to capture the mangos, racing against time to finish before the fruit spoiled. The mangos were never eaten.
